Avatar Orchestra Metaverse
Here is some impressions of the concert of Avatar Orchestra Metaverse, which was amazing.
They play their music directly in Second Life with instruments like Sine Wave generators and some found sounds. That seems the logical way to do, but it’s not so easy because of lag issues. (The members of AOM simultaneously play from different countries like italy, sweden and germany, so timing is an issue.) Anyway, the performance was amazing, it’s great to have the opportunity to virtually zoom your ears right inbetween the players…^^ I missed to shoot photos from the first part, my poor notebook couldn’t stand all those artsy avies, but dear Kueperpunk performed better…
The show was part of the directors lounge, an parallel stream to the berlinale, curated by Olga Wunderlich . I was a bit upset about the last part, the Second Front performance. They use some elements of griefing, mixed up to art, if I got it right. Interesting concept, but not my cup of tea…
After all the bots were not so alone tonight.
