Maybe I should start writing patents too. My drawings look just like this, before I start thinking (programming, scripting, planning, whatever).Yeah, that’s some carefully hand-selected drawings of the infamous Virtual Worlds patent (System and method for enabling users to interact in a virtual space).

Lately there was some joking in one of the SL group forums, that Second Life has a Physics engine (Havok4), but no Chemistry Engine yet. Well, there are a few things we scripters can still invent, while the common workflow is taken over by the big companies like IBM and Rivers Run Red. :-)

Unternehmen in Second Life

Vielen Dank! :-)

Personality is more important than beauty, but imagination is more important than both of them.

(Laurette Taylor)

Gary Hazlitt from The ProjectFactory has produced another great video, showing the current state and the diversity of Virtual Worlds in 2008 (right here, right now). More info of author, HQ download, a discussion of the movie and info about the different worlds.

Argh. I find myself wanting to login to SL, since i have urgent work to do there, then, thinking: “Hey, maybe they finally have the new RC client online…“. Looking on http://blog.secondlife.com/, Nuthin. This happened 3 times today. And our Sim, Meetingpoint is one of the few 1000 that still doesn’t have the new server version with the Mono engine, grrr. Bump!

Idea for the color organ was shamelessly stolen from Gwyneth Llewelyn %-)

(In the background you can see my Gridnaut bear.)

Edit: This works on the main grid already, with the 1.21 Beta Client and if you find a Mono Place or Sandbox (like Fermi). Hi Gwyn! :-)
